I have known this place for many years. It's just as I remembered it. Coquimbana porteña mystique, dishes at good prices, empanadas full of delicious seafood and an atmosphere that takes me back to those years where I came with my family.Time doesn't pass here. I always recommend it with closed eyes.

We were looking for a snack to eat quickly and based on seafood. Fortunately we found this place, which has very good prices and the service is very fast.We ordered fish sandwiches and empanadas, within 30 minutes we had paid.Fully recommended.

During my stay in Coquimbo, this was one of the best places in the port that I ate at, I went a total of three times and it never disappointed! The prices are in line with the quality, the service is very good and the second floor is quite nice :) you have to try the exquisite tea they serve. The most delicious bread with pippin! I leave some photos of what I consumed.

The dishes are large and economical, the service is excellent, the only detail is that every 5 minutes people came up to sell you different products, but that is not the restaurant's fault, it just bothered a little that they came to the tables so often

When you are looking for where to have lunch in a cove you know what you are getting, good prices and tasty food, but El Pionero, even so, managed to surprise us. We were 10 diners and the attention was immediate, they arranged the place for us, the food arrived immediately and - I must say - I tried the best macha cheese empanada of my life.

Every time I go to Coquimbo I go to this place. The fish sandwich is the best in the region without a doubt. The large hake prey and the very delicious marinade of the fish. The marraqueta also adds points. The bad thing was the slow service and the last time I went we arrived for lunch and asked for the menu and the young man who served us on the 3rd floor did not tell us that there was a menu which was much more convenient. However, it is enough to return.

Wonderful, I had never come before, it occurs to me to order parmesan machas, and they bring me a medium bowl of strawberry with many flaked machas with cheese to the tome...a surprise, exquisite without a doubt...the fried fish is also very delicious , good portions and wonderful price.
